Mark Shanfeld, MD, PhD is an accomplished and acclaimed ophthalmologist who sees patients at the Main Office. He currently sees patients for the following:

• Cataract surgery
• Corneal surgery
• Glaucoma surgery
• Strabismus (muscle) surgery
• Plastic surgery
• Laser surgery
• General ophthalmology

Dr. Shanfeld is also affiliated with North Country Regional Hospital in Bemidji and St. Joseph's Hospital in Park Rapids.

Education

Dr. Shanfeld received his Bachelor of Arts from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, his medical degree from the University of Missouri Medical School, and completed his PhD at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. He then completed an internship at St. Mary's Health Center in St. Louis and his residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Shanfeld is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Minnesota Medical Association, and is a fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
